How to Make Cabbage 65 Recipe
Cabbage 65 is a south INDIAN style crunchy cabbage Pakora. This recipe is same as usual Pakora recipe. If you love the flavor of fried cabbage, then you will surely love these stir fried cabbage. You can add mint leaves in this Pakora which gives a unique flavor to it. But if you don’t have it then you can skip it.
Here I have used green chilies as well as red chili powder; you can adjust the amount as per your liking spiciness.
• Cabbage – 2 cups(shredded)
• Cashew nuts – ¼ cup
• Gram flour – 2 tablespoons
• Corn flour – 2 tablespoons
• Rice flour – 2 tablespoons
• Ginger – Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
• Green chilies – 5 (finely chopped)
• Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
• Bunch of Curry leaves
• Coriander leaves
• Garam masala powder – ½ tablespoon
• Salt as per taste
• Red chili powder – 1 tablespoon
• Red Food color – 1 pinch (optional)
• Oil for deep fry
• Coriander powder – ½ tablespoon
• Cumin powder – ½ tablespoon
a. Take a wide bowl; add grated cabbage (2 cups).
b. Add rice flour (2 tablespoons), corn flour (2 tablespoons), onions (finely chopped), green chilies(chopped), coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt as per taste, Garam masala powder(½ tablespoon), cumin powder(½ tablespoon), coriander powder(½ tablespoon), ginger-garlic paste(1 tablespoon) and red chili powder(1 tablespoon) mix it well.
c. Then add cashew nuts, gram flour (2 tablespoons) and a pinch of food color (optional) for better look.
d. Mix all the mentioned ingredients by adding little water.
e. You can squeeze the mixture gently for the cabbage to release moisture further.
f. Take a deep pan and pour oil for deep fry and slowly drop the batter into the oil as shapeless fritters.
g. Deep fry them until they turn to lite golden color and crispy from all the sides. Keep moving with spatula, under medium flame.
h. Once fried, remove it using spatula and also drain excess oil.
i. Takeout the fry pieces into a paper napkin, so it will absorb extra oil.
j. Repeat the procedure for the remaining pieces also.
k. Garnish with some finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and drizzle the lemon juice and serve hot.
Crispy and crunchy cabbage 65 is ready to serve hot.
Serve with green chutney or mint chutney or ketchup.
This cabbage 65 can be used as a side dish or evening snacks.
