FBI Most Wanted Culprits over the Globe

It is the list maintained by Federal Bureau of Investigation. The list came out in discussions held in late 1949 between the director of FBI, J Edger Hoover and editor in chief, international news service, William Kinsey Hutchinson about how to take into the toughest criminals into custody. From a small robbery to terrorism is a crime but inhuman activities of people who don’t care about human life are brutal. The list of such cold-blooded culprits is released in 2011 as FBI ten most wanted terrorists.

Now we are going to look at most wanted criminals of the world out of which some are taken into custody, some are killed in blasts and the rest are yet to be caught.   The recent list of fugitives by FBI in 2011 is taken into consideration as the base of this article on most wanted criminals of the world.

1. Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera

He is the very first in the list of FBI ten most wanted terrorists. He is a Mexican drug dealer who is the head of Sinaloa Cartel, a criminal organization in the state of Sinaloa. He became the top drug dealer in 2003 after the arrest of a rival of Gulf Cartel.

He was first arrested in 1993 and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment but he escaped in 2001. He hid in Sierra Madre Mountains for many years but got caught on 22nd February 2014 at a beachfront hotel in Mazatlan.  He again escaped on 11th July 2015 and wanted by the attorney general of Mexico and drug enforcement administration since then.

2. Ayman al-Zawahiri

After the death of the founder of Al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, most wanted criminals of the world he became the new leader. He is also a member of Islamic organizations which have carried out attacks in North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In 2012, he called out for the kidnap of Western terrorists in Muslim countries.

He is keen on gathering public support and gives audio and video messages to the public. He has written a book that gives the Al-Qaeda’s ideology and English translations for the books are also available. He along with his brother Muhammad al-Zawahiri was sentenced to death in 1999 for having a leading role in anti-Egyptian government attacks.

3. Dawood Ibrahim

He is the leader of Indian organized crime syndicate D-company founded in Mumbai. He is most wanted criminals of the world by FBI for cheating and running a criminal association. After bombings in Bombay in 1993, he became the most wanted man in India. He has recently issued an arrest warrant for spot-fixing crime in IPL.

Ten of the members from his gang were arrested by Mumbai crime branch and a news channel also stated that he provided logistics in 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. He is believed to be living in Pakistan under the protection of ISI. Recent reports have stated that he has been shifted to Pakistan-Afghanistan border by Inter-Service Intelligence.

4. Semion Mogilevich

He is a Ukranian born organized crime boss believed by United stated and European federal law enforcement agencies. ‘The Brainy Don’ and ‘Don Semyon’ are nicknames given to one of the FBI ten most wanted terrorists. He is in Moscow who lives freely with his three children. He has close relations with the former mayor of Ukraine and head of security service of Ukraine. He was arrested in 2008 but was bailed in 2009.

5. Nasir al-Wuhayshi

Nasir al-Wuhayshi alias Abu Basir is a resident of Yemen and leader of Al-Queda in Arabian Peninsula. He is most wanted criminals of the world stated by Saudi Arabia and Yemen. 10 million US dollars was the reward for any information shared related to Nasir which aids in the capture or killing of the militant. He was killed on 12th June 2015 at the age of 38 in US drone strike in the Hadhramaut Governorate of Yemen.

6. Matteo Messina Denaro

He is also known as Diabolik, the character name comes from Italian comic book. He is one of the leaders of Cosa Nostra after the arrest of Bernardo Provenzano. He became popular after a magazine L’Espresso put him in the cover page titled as ‘He is the new boss of Mafia’. A new photograph of his released recently in 2014 march after an informer claimed that he has seen him hiding. He is most wanted criminals of the world and is also among FBI ten most wanted terrorists.

7. Alimzhan Tokhtakhunov

He is Russian sportsmen and businessmen and most wanted criminals of the world. He is accused of an organized crime and also for bribing the judges in 2002 Winter Olympics. He was an amateur player playing for a junior team of Pakhtakor. He wanted to continue his career but failed as he soon stopped to play. He was imprisoned twice in 1972 and 1985 for parasitism. The United States has issued an arrest warrant on him on fraud-related charges. He lives freely in Russia.

8. Félicien Kabuga

He is a Rwandan Businessman accused of bankrolling and participating in Rwandan Genocide, a genocidal massacre of Tutsi. He is alleged of providing funds Rwandan government for the purpose of executing the 1994 genocide. The US government is offering rewards to individuals who provide information about Kabuga. He stands in 7th position in recently released FBI ten most wanted terrorists.

9. Joseph Kony

Joseph Kony is the founder of Lord’s Resident Army(LRA) which is a guerilla group operated in Uganda. He claims himself to be a spirit medium and spokesperson of God. He believes in polygamy and is assumed to have about 88 wives and 42 children. He has been accused by the government for abducting children to become sex slaves and child soldiers. LRA is charged against the death of more than 100,000 people and also kidnap of at least 60,000 children. He is among FBI ten most wanted terrorists.

10. Dokka Umarov

He was a Chechen Islamist militant in Russia. He was a major military figure in the 1990s and 2000s wars in Chechnya. He is married and has 6 children. He is popularly known as Russia’s Bin Laden and photos of his dead body were released on Instagram by Pro-Vladimir Putin leader on September 7th, 2013.

Umarov is Putin’s most wanted enemy sought for crimes, kidnapping, homicide, and treason. He is responsible for deadly attacks on Russia. He was responsible for train bombings between Moscow and Saint Petersberg which killed 26 in 2009 and attacks on the Siberian dam which killed 75. For years he was most wanted criminals of the world since 2009.
