How to Make Cabbage Manchurian


Cabbage — 300grms
Chopped garlic — 1table spoon
Chopped ginger — 1table spoon
Chopped spring onion — 1table spoon
Green chillies thinly chopped — 3
Coriander leaves chopped — 4bunches
[Wash coriander leaves thoroughly]
Ginger garlic paste — 1tea spoon
Capsicum thinly chopped — 1table spoon
Tomato sauce — 2table spoon
Green chilli sauce — 1table spoon
Soya sauce — 1table spoon
Vinegar — 1table spoon
Corn flour — 3table spoon
Maida — 1/2cup [500grm]
Salt — to taste
Black pepper powder — 1table spoon
Red chili powder — 1table spoon
Coriander powder —    1table spoon
Red food color — 1/4tea spoon
Oil — For deep fry


1] First take a grater, plate and cabbage.

2] Grate the cabbage in a fresh plate thoroughly

3] After finishing the cabbage grate, squeeze the [press] cabbage and take it into a bowl.

[Cabbage has lot of moisture, so you have to squeeze the [press] cabbage content, to remove water.]

4]To the cabbage bowl content, add half cup Maida flour then 2tables spoons corn flour, add salt to taste and 1tea spoon chilli powder 1 table spoon coriander powder,1/2spoon black pepper powder,1spoon ginger garlic paste and a pinch of red food color. Add all these ingredients properly and mix well.

[Adding corn flour to Manchuria makes it crispy with smooth look. If you don’t have corn flour, you can add rice flour to the Manchurian recipe.]

5] Don’t add water into the mixture because cabbage have moisture in it which will be sufficient to blend / mix the content.

6] In case mixture is not mixing properly add some water to the mixture.

7] Apply oil on hands to prepare small round shaped balls from the mixture.

8] Switch on the flame and heat oil in a kadai [pan], deep fry the prepared balls on medium flame until they turn to golden brown color.

9] Drain excess oil and transfer them to plate. Spread napkin / tissue paper on plate to absorb excess oil.

10] Take a bowl on another side and add 1table spoon of corn flour to some water until it become a thick liquid.

11] Take another small bowl, add 1/4tea spoon of red food color and add some water to it, stir well with spoon.

12] Take another kadai on flame heat 3table spoon of oil, add chopped ginger and chopped garlic, blend well add chopped green chilies , capsicum, spring onion blend them and sauté for a minute.

13] And now add soya sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar mix the all the ingredients again saute for a minute.

14] Pour the red food color water to the mixture and add black pepper powder, salt bring the mixture to boil over medium flame.

15] Now add dissolved corn flour in pan blend all the ingredients finely. Cook it on low flame for 1-2 minutes.

16] After 2minutes add deep fried golden brown color Manchurian balls into mixture and cook for 3minutes over low flame.

17] Finally add chopped coriander leaves to garnish and cook it for 1/2 minute. Turn off the flame and enjoy hot and spicy cabbage Manchurian.

[ if you want dry Manchurian do not add corn flour water.]
